Sean 'Diddy' Combs' daughter turned 18 this year: "So sorry your dad is Diddy"

By now, Alabama music fans are aware that Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested earlier this week on serious charges. Interestingly, before his arrest, Diddy wiped his Instagram account, leaving only two images—one of his daughter Chance and the other of his daughter Love.

Under a post celebrating Chance’s 18th birthday a couple of weeks ago, the comment section erupted, with many users not holding back with their thoughts. Diddy's heartfelt message read: "My babygirl turned 18 today. I’m so proud of you, Chance. I love you." Despite the celebratory tone, the responses took a sharp turn.

Hugh Sossa remarked, "5 nights at Diddy’s," while HeyItstyler added, "Cassie was somebody's daughter too."

Welkimtomyworld harshly stated, "One year younger than Cassie when you started grooming and abusing her."

In contrast, Uniquesistah urged empathy, saying, "I have one question. This baby has nothing to do with her father. It's her birthday y'all. Give her some respect, she already catching hell reading these comments. Give her a break and wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Happy birthday baby."

Gabeq01 commented, "Imagine she meets a dude like you," while Xensams bluntly stated, "Maybe you should stop trafficking women." Reignworldevents expressed sympathy for Chance, saying, "So sorry your dad is Diddy," and Kingprosper added, "The mere fact that these poor children are connected to you in ANYWAY is a travesty in and of itself Sean."

The mix of birthday wishes and harsh criticisms reflects the ongoing controversy surrounding Diddy’s legal troubles, casting a shadow over what was meant to be a celebratory moment for his daughter.

Diddy's Done?

At his court appearance on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, Business Insider reported that Diddy blew a kiss to family members and placed his hand on his heart. He wore the same black T-shirt and striped sweatpants from the previous day's hearing, where U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky ordered him held in jail pending trial.

In a newly proposed bail package, Combs offered to forgo the use of his cell phone and internet, live without family members in his Miami home, and hire the security firm Sage Intelligence to monitor him around the clock. A limited list of visitors would also be permitted.

However, prosecutors again argued for Diddy to remain behind bars, citing his "vast resources" that could aid in his escape and alleging that he had contacted grand jury witnesses to influence their testimonies. U.S. District Judge Andrew Carter sided with the prosecution, denying Combs' bond, stating concerns that he could use employees from his various companies to send "coded messages" and pressure witnesses.

Earlier this week, federal agents arrested Diddy on multiple charges, including kidnapping, sex trafficking related to his "Freak-Offs," illegally transporting individuals for sex, and running a racketeering conspiracy.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty on all charges.

People Magazine reported Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, explained that Combs is currently undergoing "treatment and therapy for issues that, with all due respect, he genuinely needs, and he's actively receiving that care." However, Agnifilo admitted, "Mr. Combs is not a perfect person. There’s been drug use, and there have been toxic relationships – which, as is often the case, were mutually toxic." He stressed that seeking help "at the ripe age of 54" should be seen as commendable.

Another conference hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24, at 10 a.m.
