FAIRFIELD, Calif. ( KRON ) — A man was arrested after breaking into a Fairfield residence by sneaking in through the home’s doggy door, the Fairfield Police Department said.

FPD officers received reports that a stranger had entered a home in the 1600 block of Flamingo Drive on Sept. 8 at around 3 a.m.

Police said the resident whose house was being broken into was not at home during the break-in, but they saw the incident through their home surveillance video, which led them to contact FPD.

Fairfield police officers arrived at the home and noted that “some of the victim’s property had been removed from the house and staged on the porch.” Police said they also heard noises inside the residence before a man fled to a neighboring house’s yard.

“Unfortunately for him, officers had already established a perimeter,” police said, claiming they found the man “hiding behind a tree” before his arrest.

At the time of his arrest, police said the man “was in possession of stolen property from the victim’s residence.”

The suspect, later identified as James Jackson, was also on Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS) for burglary, police said. He was booked into Solano County Jail.

“Well, he definitely wasn’t trying to ‘pet that dog,'” FPD said.

Post Release Community Supervision is working just great. Not! Some people need to spend some serious time in prison like this fool. But, not going to happen as long as Democrats are in control.
