If you’re in and area where they haven’t already changed your landlines to internet. Keep them. Our landline became part of our internet service a year ago and no one bothered to let us know. We found out the old fashioned way. The internet went down…our so-called landline went down too.

There’s no such thing as a landline anymore. 10 years ago we needed and had a landline because my husband was on the transplant list. Landlines were more reliable and didn’t drop calls like cell phones did. When they call and tell you to come on down….. we have a organ waiting for you, That’s a call you don’t want to miss. We’ve kept our landline and the number we’ve had for decades but just found out 4 months ago that it is now connected to your WIFI. Our internet went out and I went to call and see what the problem was. My “landline” was also out. I finally got in touch with someone and that when I was told. No one bothered to tell me it was a cellphone that didn’t leave the house now. Internet goes out, you loose your phone now. That use to be the one thing that was dependable. Barely more dependable than a cellphone in your pocket now. The reception just may happen to be better.
