An alert from the Des Moines Police Department’s new app says Des Moines Fire Department and MidAmerican Energy crews are on the scene responding to the issue.

    Closed roads:

    • Locust Street between 10th Street and 16th Street
    • 15th Street between Grand Avenue and Walnut Street

The area is closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

DMPD said the closure is expected to last throughout the day.
