Driver Collides With Hong Kong Inn in Placerville

A driver reportedly crashed into the front of the Hong Kong Inn in Placerville, California, causing extensive damage. Hong Kong Inn is a popular local Chinese food restaurant.

Locals observing the scene reported that an elderly person hit two cars before colliding with the restaurant.

Locals also noted that a similar incident happened 10 years ago at the Taco Bell in Cameron Park, when a driver confused the gas and brake pedals and ended up colliding with the building.

An employee of the Mountain Democrat reportedly saw the accident take place as well. The restaurant is extensively damaged, and it’s unclear when it will be able to reopen.
