It's a ridiculous stat line in baseball, and fans of the game appreciated that. Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes was astounded as well, and he made sure to react to Ohtani's performance appropriately.

Commenting on a post showing Ohtani's stats during the game, Mahomes said, "Insane!". The Dodgers would end up winning the game with a 20-4 score.

Before Ohtani, no player in MLB history has ever gotten 50 homers and 50 stolen bases in a single season. The closest related achievement is Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr hitting 40 dingers and swiping 70 bases last season. This record should cement the Dodgers star as the MVP for the National League.

Mahomes would know a thing or two about MVP-level performances. The Chiefs star already has two MVPs to his name and three championships. Both Mahomes and Ohtani are considered GOAT contenders in their respective sports.

Ohtani came into the game with 48 HRs and 49 SBs. Given his recent performance, it seemed like a no-brainer that the Dodgers star would break the record tonight. Still, Ohtani found a way to give fans a treat while breaking records.

Ohtani registered a hit in all six of his at-bats and drove in ten runs, along with three homers and two swipes to take the record. The Dodgers cruised to an easy victory over the Marlins, keeping their hold on the NL West strong.

Despite this record-breaking prowess, Ohtani is somehow still not at full power. An elbow injury from last season forced the Dodgers star to avoid pitching for this season. It's crazy to imagine that this record-breaking season for Ohtani could have somehow been more astounding.
