Difficult stretch for Tupelo begins with Oxford showdown

The last two weeks have been nothing but smooth sailing for Tupelo – the Golden Wave have bludgeoned their last two opponents 75-19 – but a challenging stretch begins today when Oxford comes to town.

Tupelo’s next four games include Friday’s rivalry game, one of the top teams from Tennessee in Houston, a road date with defending Class 5A champion West Point and a showdown with Madison Central, which knocked the Golden Wave out of the playoffs last year.
