Falcons DB Jessie Bates III aims to get into Travis Kelce's head with cheap shot about Taylor Swift

Before any big matchup, trash talking is always natural between two teams.

However, one Atlanta Falcons player might have taken it a step to far ahead of their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jessie Bates III is really trying to get under Travis Kelce's skin, taking a cheap shot at his relationship with singer Taylor Swift during an appearance on 'The Pacman Jones Podcast.'

"I don't listen to much Taylor Swift, but obviously you gotta respect for what she's done in her career. And then with Travis Kelce, you gotta have some type of respect with him," Bates said. "But once that clock ticks and we're in between those lines, I see red sometimes and might say some crazy stuff to him, it may involve Taylor, it may not. It's just part of the game, talking your little smack.

The Falcons have some additional confidence after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night, with the game coming down to the last drive. Quarterback Kirk Cousins led the team down the field and hit receiver Drake London in the end zone for a touchdown. With only 34 seconds remaining, the Falcons had a one point lead.

And then Bates intercepted Hurts' deep pass attempt to award Atlanta with the win.

He's clearly riding high after that win, so someone has to knock him down a bit.

If anyone can do it, it's the Chiefs.

Kansas City is currently undefeated and looking to add another win on Sunday. And considering how beloved Kelce is in that locker room, they should all come out with a vengeance and be even more motivation to defeat the Falcons.

And of course, the singer is expected to be at the game since her Eras Tour doesn't start back up again until the middle of October.

Taylor Swift proves she really is down bad for Chiefs TE Travis Kelce during Week 2 game at Arrowhead

Taylor Swift couldn't help but react when her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was introduced ahead of the team's win against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon.

The singer made sure that there was no one was going to mistake who she was rooting for, wearing a long Chiefs jersey.

So while Kelce ran out to a crowd of screaming fans, Swift was fanning herself in the suite, while drinking from her No. 87 custom cup.

Some even say that they can see Swift saying, "hot" in the middle of the video.

The singer was caught cheering for the Chiefs and Travis numerous times throughout the game. And the smile on her face said it all.

At one point, she was even screaming his name.

"Oh my God Travis," Swift said.

And she waved to all the fans who were beyond excited to see her at Arrowhead again.
