UPS is hiring thousands of workers in the New York City area

NEW YORK (PIX11) – The United Parcel Service is hiring thousands of workers for the upcoming holiday season, the company announced on Friday.

UPS is looking to hire 17,000 positions in the New York City area. Full-time and part-time positions will be available.

“The holiday season is our busiest time of year — which is why we’re looking to grow our team with seasonal UPSers,” read the company’s website .

More than half of the jobs offered do not require an in-person interview, and many applicants will receive a job offer within 10 minutes if they are qualified, according to the company.

Those with a Commercial Driving License begin at $23 per hour, and Package handlers’ starting pay is $21.
