CLEVELAND, OH - Point Pleasant, WV, is gearing up for the annual Mothman Festival, a family-friendly event commemorating the legendary "Mothman" sightings of the 1960s.

According to the Mothman Festival, held in downtown Point Pleasant on the third weekend of September, the 2024 festival will take place on September 21st and 22nd, with a special kickoff event on Friday evening.

The festival features a wide range of activities for all ages, including live music, vendors selling Mothman-themed merchandise, food trucks, cosplay, and guest speakers discussing the Mothman legend, according to the Mothman Festival.

The event is free to attend, although certain attractions, such as the Mothman Museum and hayrides through the TNT Area, have small fees. Hayride tickets cost $5 and are available on a first-come, first-served basis on Saturday morning, according to the Mothman Festival.

Located on Main Street in downtown Point Pleasant, the festival area is easy to find. Attendees are advised to arrive early to secure parking, as the event draws large crowds.

Point Pleasant, West Virginia, is approximately 200 miles from Cleveland, Ohio. The drive typically takes around 3.5 to 4 hours, depending on traffic and route. The most common route is via I-77 South, which provides a scenic drive through parts of Ohio and West Virginia.

Festival hours run from 10 AM to 6 PM, with some vendors and entertainment continuing later into the evening.
