Few things are better than a long drive down a scenic stretch of road on a bright, sunny day, twisting and turning along highways framed by patches of wildflowers and breathtaking views of the surrounding land. Add to that a few beloved passengers and the radio blasting all your favorite songs, and you've got a warm memory in the making.

According to a list compiled by Cheapism , the "most scenic highway drive" in all of Arizona is Mongollon Rim Road Scenic Drive. This length of roadway, also known as Forest Road 300 in eastern Arizona, highlights the beauty of surrounding nature and even has campgrounds for you to stop and enjoy the views.

Here's what the site had to say about the most scenic drive in the state:

"The Mongollon Rim is an enormous wall of rock that cuts diagonally across much of eastern Arizona, and the best way to appreciate its breadth is by driving Forest Road 300, otherwise known as Mongollon Rim Road Scenic Drive. Stop almost anywhere to absorb endless forest views from the edge of the rim. Road trippers will also find plentiful campgrounds and the world's largest stand of ponderosa pines."
