My husband lost his union benefits because he was fed up with the people they hired, construction, but didn't know how to measure anything. He was a boss and certified for everything in construction. That way, they didn't have to hire someone for each job. We went on vacation and when he went back to work. $50.00 square yard carpet had been installed, but the electricity and plumbing hadn't been installed. insulation and drywall were set on the carpet. 1978. He went back to his day job, but they put him on nights. He had more years than anyone on days. The company told him to get fired, retire, or quit . He retired, and they took away his company part of his retirement. 25 years, he got $50.00 a monster retirement. I would never work Union or buy from a Union store.

Does this law apply to the unions political functions that they require their members to attend or support.
