CLEMSON — With Clemson coming off of a record-breaking game against Appalachian State on Sept. 7, it looks to keep the momentum going in its ACC opener versus NC State (noon, ABC).

–Quarterback Cade Klubnik noted the multitude of ways the Tigers played a successful game. He noted that it was an extremely impressive offensive performance with multiple contributing aspects. Seven different Tigers found the end zone contributing to the 66-20 victory by Clemson. Klubnik, with a near perfect performance against the Mountaineers, explained that it “wasn’t just me… It was the 10 guys around me.” He went on to list a plethora of successful aspects. “We blocked our butts off and ran great routes.” He also noted “no drops and no sacks.” Klubnik finished it off by saying, “It’d be great to replicate what we did. Always wanna replicate the good.”

–Klubnik explained because he is from Texas, he was unaware of the impact of the NC State rivalry. “Since being here, I definitely feel the presence of that,” he said. “It’s always a great game. They’re going to bring their best. We’re going to bring our best.”

–Klubnik described the ever-growing improvements in freshman wideouts Bryant Wesco and T.J. Moore. When asked about what the Appalachian State blowout did for their confidence, Klubnik rallied behind his guys saying, “They already had all the confidence that they needed.” Klubnik was pleased with his freshman receivers being able to make plays saying, “They got to go display it and make those plays.” Klubnik further added on by saying, “They’ve had it since they’ve arrived.” Klubnik described the entirety of the wide receiver room emphasizing how much faith he has in them. They’re always ready to play.”
