Deion Sanders Facing Backlash for Colorado Uniform Choice Against Baylor

Once again, the Colorado Buffaloes are making headlines for things that have nothing to do with football being played on the field.

This week, it is all about the uniforms that Deion Sanders plans to have his team wearing in Saturday's home game against the Baylor Bears. While it is traditional to wear dark colors at home, Colorado announced on Thursday that they would be wearing white this weekend.

So things got pretty awkward when Baylor announced on Friday that they would also be wearing white.

Obviously, there was a lack of communication somewhere in this situation, and something needs to be cleared up before Saturday's kick-off at 8 p.m. ET.

If things aren't cleared up, it could result in penalties and a giant mess on the field. According to the rule book, the home team — Colorado in this situation — would be assessed with a 15-yard penalty for improper uniforms should the white-vs.-white matchup happen.

Uniforms aside, this is a massive game for Colorado on the schedule. The Buffs started out the season at 2-1 but got blown out by a Nebraska team in their only Power Four game so far this year. Now that they're entering their conference schedule, there likely won't be a ton of easily winnable games ahead, so beating a mediocre Baylor team at home is imperative to their bowl game chances when all is said and done.
