Jeremiah Smith Signs NIL Deal With Red Bull

As soon as Jeremiah Smith signed with Ohio State, we knew it was only a matter of time before he would become an impact player in the sport. It sure looks like the Buckeyes have another star at receiver and it could be argued he’s the single best freshman in the country. In the new NIL world we live in, Smith cashing in on a lucrative deal was a given.

Smith is signing an NIL deal with Red Bull. The new deal will make him the first college football player to ever sign with the Red Bull brand.

    VIA Front Office Sports:

The deal: Smith, a true freshman who already has 211 receiving yards and three touchdowns after two games with the Buckeyes, is becoming the energy drink company’s first college football endorser. “Off week, got my wiiings,” he posted in a video on his social media channels announcing the partnership, which a source tells Front Office Sports is for multiple years.

Front Office Sports also listed other collegiate athletes already signed by Red Bull including (MiLaysia Fulwiley (South Carolina) and Mikaylah Williams (LSU); volleyball players Bergen Reilly (Nebraska), Madisen Skinner (Texas), and Olivia Babcock (Pitt); and Boston College hockey player Will Smith.)

2024 College Football Season: Top 5 Instant Impact True Freshmen

Smith, 18, has 11 receptions for 211 yards and three touchdowns through two games in his inaugural season at Ohio State. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that this dude is going to be an absolute stud. Even Marvin Harrison Jr. didn’t put up these kind of numbers right away as a true freshman. Smith is already the best receiver on Ohio State’s roster, which says a lot considering the talent this program puts out at the position.
