Why Baylor Will Win

Welcome to the No. 1 team in college football against the pass.

Don’t just blow this off because Air Force and Tarleton State were on the slate. The Bears did a great job against Utah, too, and that’s when Cam Rising played half the game before getting hurt.

The secondary attacks the ball well, the D is terrific on third down stops, and three games in Colorado still can’t run the ball too well and the O line is still getting Shedeur Sanders popped. There’s one big problem with that …

Why Colorado Will Win

Baylor doesn’t do a ton to get into the backfield.

It’ll get to Sanders and come up with a few big hits, but the defensive style doesn’t do much to apply pressure.

All 2 needs is a little time to work, and he’ll spread the ball around and make big things happen.

No, there won’t be any sort of a running game to balance things out, but the Bears will struggle to keep up when the big plays start coming.

That, and Baylor isn’t big on the time of possession battle - that shouldn’t be a problem for the Buffs.

Once again, Colorado will struggle on the defensive front, once again the offensive line will be mediocre, and once again Travis Hunter will make a few big plays.

The Buffs will get to 3-1 as they show off a little more firepower, but they’ll still show off all the flaws that will be bigger issues against USF and Kansas State in the next few weeks.
