    Time to vote for Friday Night Hero! You chose Desert Christian Academy star last week

    Friday Night Hero voting is heating up and it's time for you to pick the Week 5 winner.

    But before we look ahead, we like to look back and honor last week's winner. That honor goes to Judah Garrison of Desert Christian Academy.

    Garrison who returned two interceptions for touchdowns and added a 66-yard TD reception in a wild win over Desert Chapel earned your vote. Three game-changing plays will do that for you.

    Who will be the Week 5 winner? That's up to you.

    Whoever has the most votes at noon on Wednesday will be declared the winner.

    Here are this week's candidates in alphabetical order.

    Roman Ansley, La Quinta quarterback

    What he did: Ansley got the passing game going for the Blackhawks in a 57-0 win over Southwest El Centro. He completed 6 of 9 passes for 161 yards and three touchdowns.

    Noah Gannon, Cathedral City running back

    What he did: Gannon had the running game clicking again for the Lions in a 40-24 win on Thursday. Gannon had three touchdown runs in the Lions' victory.

    Zach Gibbs, Palm Desert linebacker

    What he did: Gibbs had the biggest play for an Aztecs defense that had a remarkable seven turnovers. He had an interception and danced through defenders all the way for a 58-yard game-clinching pick-six in the fourth quarter.

    Brandon Peffers, Shadow Hills wide receiver

    What he did: Peffers gave the offense a boost, hauling in six catches for 114 yards on the night including touchdown receptions of 18 and 47 yards in a 34-33 win over Patriot.

    Koa Rapolla, Palm Springs linebacker/running back

    What he did: His nickname should be Mr. Everywhere, because it's remarkable the amount of impact he has on a game. He caught a 51-yard TD pass, finished with 101 yards receiving, had two crucial interceptions including a pick-six and had double-digit tackles in the game.
