If you’re a fan of Publix (and honestly, who isn’t?), then you already know that this Florida-based grocery store chain has some legendary offerings. From their iconic “Pub Subs” to refreshing iced teas and decadent ice cream, Publix knows how to hit the sweet spot. But if there’s one thing that keeps dessert lovers coming back, it’s their cakes. Now, Publix is kicking things up a notch with some new milk-based cake flavors that are bound to make your next grocery trip a little sweeter!

What’s So Special About Milk-Based Cakes?

Before we dive into the new flavors, let’s break down what makes a milk-based cake special. If you’ve ever had a tres leches cake, then you know the magic that happens when milk is soaked into a cake. The result? A dessert that’s light, moist, creamy, and downright irresistible. Publix has embraced this concept for their latest cake lineup, and it’s safe to say that dessert lovers are in for a treat!

The New Publix Milk Cake Flavors

In early September 2024, Publix introduced a variety of milk-infused cakes that are all about delicious flavor combinations and fresh ingredients. Here’s a look at what’s now on offer:

    • Strawberry Dulce de Leche: Imagine a cake infused with vanilla milk, topped with a whipped cream that’s covered in fresh strawberries and finished with a toasted almond border. It’s fruity, creamy, and a little nutty in the best way possible.
    • Cinnamon Celebration: If you’re into cinnamon and chocolate together, this is your cake. It starts with vanilla milk infusion and is topped with cinnamon Chantilly cream, strawberries, and white chocolate pieces. It's like a celebration of sweet, spiced goodness.
    • Tropical Delight: For those wanting a tropical twist, this one’s for you! A vanilla milk-infused cake with vanilla frosting, garnished with kiwi, peaches, strawberries, and almonds. It’s like a mini vacation in every bite.
    • Chocolate Strawberry: Calling all chocolate lovers! This cake is infused with vanilla milk but goes all in on chocolate. It’s topped with chocolate whip, ganache drizzle, chocolate pieces, and chocolate-covered strawberries. Oh, and don’t forget the chocolate chips!
    • Cookies and Cream: If you’ve ever wished cookies and milk could be combined with cake, your wish has come true. This starts with a vanilla milk-infused base, then gets topped with cookies and cream mousse, plus whole and crushed cookies. It’s pure cookie bliss.
    • Berry Celebration: Berry lovers, rejoice! This cake features chantilly whipped topping and a trio of berries—strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries—all sitting on top of a vanilla milk-infused cake.
    • Sprinkle Blast: Who doesn’t love a sprinkle-filled dessert? This fun option starts with a vanilla milk-infused cake and is topped with whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, rainbow chocolate pieces, and cherries. It’s a party on a plate!

I always been a Publix shopper. But their bakery good are getting too expensive. 4 muffins for $3.99! You used to get 6. I have found other places with bakery good that are delicious for a lot less money.
