STATEWIDE — Law enforcement officials say some scammers are now pretending to represent the Indiana Toll Road in order to take your money.

With this scam, you may get a text message from the supposed Toll Road, explaining that you have “an outstanding toll charge,” and you could incur late fees if you wait to pay. Then, there may be a link.

Officials are urging you not to click the link, as these messages are not legitimate. If you see one of these messages, you are urged to ignore it and/or delete it immediately.

The actual Toll Road website is indianatollroad.org . If you truly have a toll you need to pay, you can do so online here .
