The Colorado Buffaloes are looking to return to bowl season for the first time since 2020 under head coach Deion Sanders. Sanders won four games last season after the team won just one game in 2022.

The Buffaloes returned big names like quarterback Shedeur Sanders, two-way star Travis Hunter, receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. and others in 2024.

The team also added players like former Clemson Tigers offensive lineman Zechariah Owens, former Ohio State Buckeyes running back Dallan Hayden, former Pittsburgh Panthers edge rusher Dayon Hayes and former Charlotte linebacker Nikhai-Green Hill from the portal.

Among Colorado's biggest believers is Pat McAfee, who expressed as much on ESPN's "College GameDay" on Saturday.

McAfee stated that if the Buffaloes can come together as a team, they have a real shot at "this thing." It was unclear what McAfee meant by "this thing," but he believes in what Sanders is trying to build.

"If Colorado can continue to build on being a team and playing like three phases of football, operating together, I think Colorado has a real shot at this thing going forward," McAfee said.

Colorado is 2-1 after three games this season. The Buffaloes suffered their first loss of the year to the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Lincoln. The team recovered from the loss in Week 3 by beating in-state rival Colorado State.

Coach Prime and Colorado take on the Baylor Bears in Week 4. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
