They don't say if any remains of the crew were ever recovered or what condition they were in after the implosion. obviously the weakest link would be the glass and seals but there's no mention of the rest being metal covered or fiberglass covered which fiberglass would be another weak link. poor design and was not designed to travel that deep at those pressures period.
