WESTERVILLE, Ohio — My Very Own Blanket is hosting its 25th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, October 10, at Creekside Conference Center.

“We are overjoyed to be celebrating this significant milestone- 25 years since my family and I crafted our first blankets for children in the foster care system. Little did we know that these first blankets would be the start of something so meaningful,” said Jessica Rudolph, Founder & CEO of My Very Own Blanket. “Our passion to provide and love to children and teens in need remains as strong today.”

Founded in 1999 and based in Westerville, Ohio, organizers say My Very Own Blanket (MVOB) has grown to an international organization dedicated to warming the hearts of children in foster care by providing them with handmade blankets and quilts, offering a sense of comfort and security. The organization brings together volunteers, community groups, and businesses to make blankets and quilts personalized with the child’s name, giving them something to take with them from home to home.

According to organizers, the 25th Anniversary Celebration will commemorate MVOB’s quarter-century of service and will feature Jason and Diane Loehr, foster parents who will share their heartfelt journey of becoming a foster family, and how MVOB played an essential role in supporting their family and the children they’ve welcomed into their home.

Organizers say guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, dinner and desserts, as well as a chance to create a no-sew fleece blanket. The celebration will include opportunities to generously support the mission through silent and live auctions, as well as the “Stand Up for a Cause” initiative.

MVOB is still accepting event sponsors, although printing and recognition deadlines are fast approaching. Opportunities range fomr $250 to $10,000. Click HERE for more information.

Proceeds from the even will directly support MVOB’s efforts to continue providing handmade blankets and quilts to children and teens in foster care and those in need.
