Wausau builders group to host Build My Future event

WAUSAU – The Wausau Area Builders Association will host the third annual Build My Future Northcentral Wisconsin event in September to provide local high school students a hands-on, interactive showcase of building and related industries.

The event, which will be held Sept. 25 at Kolbe Windows and Doors in Wausau, is designed to help students explore potential careers while introducing them to pathways into those careers and local employers, and support workforce development for WABA members, builders, associates and community businesses.

“With the third annual Build My Future running I am excited to see so many companies in our community dedicate a day to show students what we do in our industry,” said Aaron Beyer, event chairman.

There are 25 area schools with more than 1,300 students registered to attend Build My Future.
