    Bills vs. Jaguars: MNF Preview

    By Colin Miller,

    2024-09-21

The Buffalo Bills will play in their second-straight primetime game when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars for "Monday Night Football."

Buffalo will look to continue their hot start to the 2024 season and advance to 3-0, while Jacksonville is still pursuing their first win of the season.

The Bills are coming off of a dominant Thursday night divisional win in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins, where running back James Cook scored three touchdowns in the first half.

Quarterback Josh Allen has been dealing with an injury to his non-throwing hand that he suffered in Week 1, but he has fully practiced all week and is good to play on Monday night.

The Bills have officially ruled out cornerback Taron Johnson and linebacker Terrel Bernard for the game, meaning the defense will be without two key veterans for the matchup. Despite their absences, the Buffalo defense was able to handle the fast-paced Miami offense without them last week, so they hope to do the same on Monday.

On the other end, the Jaguars are looking to move on from the first two weeks of the season and get off to a fresh start. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence has thrown just one touchdown pass through two weeks, and the Jaguars' offense has yet to score over 20 points, which could be a problem against the Bills, who have scored over 30 points in both of their games so far.
