Eli Manning's Message Ahead of Arch Manning's First Start Goes Viral

Texas quarterback Arch Manning is the talk of college football on Saturday ahead of his first career start against Louisiana Monroe.

Before Arch's big day, his uncle Eli Manning shared a video highlighting another family member's memorable debut.

"Arch is not the only Manning to get his first start today," Eli Manning posted , with a video of his 6-year-old son, Charlie, throwing a pass during a flag football game.

The post quickly went viral, even catching the attention of former NFL quarterback and current Thursday Night Football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick.

"Hate to be the bearer of bad news Eli but he’s not getting any depth on his drop which will cause him to struggle when there is a line in front of him," Fitzpatrick commented . "Will be in town for TNF this week if you want me to work with him…."

Others were already envisioning the next Manning to leave a lasting impact on the football world.

"With the 2035 first overall pick, The New York Giants select…" one fan wrote .

"When Arch retires, we will draft Charlie. The Manning dominoes are falling into place," another said .

Arch Manning stepped up in a big way last week after starter Quinn Ewers went down with an oblique injury. So far this season, Manning has been sharp, completing 14 of 18 passes for 318 yards and tossing five touchdowns. He’s also showcased his mobility, adding two more scores on the ground.

While both of Arch's Super Bowl-winning uncles — Eli and Peyton — are now prominent media personalities, they've remained relatively quiet about his time at Texas.

However, there’s no doubt the Manning family will be closely watching when he takes the field with the Longhorns on Saturday. Texas enters the matchup against ULM as a heavy 43.5-point favorite.
