Some Roankers who refer to the Southwest Virginia city as "The Noke" may not be aware of a Nokesville near Washington, DC. The Prince William County town was the last place 23-year-old Shane Donahue was seen leaving his parent's home in March 2010.

Donahue's disappearance became a cold case, but First Coast News reports the murder has been solved after 14 years. Authorities recently received new information that revealed Donahue left his parent's home with Timothy Hickerson, and the two were later seen entering Shane's home nearby, leading them to reopen the case.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, 43-year-old Timothy Hickerson was stopped by deputies on Old Kings Road after running a red light. Deputies said Hickerson had an active fugitive warrant from Virginia for the murder of Shane Donahue, 23. Hickerson was arrested on warrants for second-degree murder and burglary.

The News Journal says although no body has been found Hickerson, of Palm Coast, Florida will be held without bond until he is extradicted to Virginia.
