The Cleveland Browns are scheduled to take on the New York Giants on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET in The Rock And Roll Capital Of The World, Cleveland, a chance for Coach Kevin Stefanski's team to continue marching forward toward a possible second straight playoff appearance.

The Browns are 1-1 on the season while the Giants desperately need a win in the forthcoming matchup between recent Coach Of The Year winners Stefanski and Brian Daboll.

The matchup comes amid rumors surrounding former All-Pro running back Nick Chubb's future status with the team.

Sideline photos of Chubb from last week in Jacksonville suggested that he may be closer to returning than originally thought. Since then, rumors of a possible retirement have swirled, adding further to speculation.

Chubb was placed on the Physically Unable To Perform (PUP) list recently, meaning that he will miss the first four games of the season.

On Saturday, Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry revealed which rusher he believes will reach the 10,000 yard mark soon, and did not hesitate to reveal Chubb as his selection.

"Nick Chubb for sure," he said. "He's a beast. He's a different breed. Other than myself, that's probably one of my favorite backs."

Henry leads all active rushers with 9,632 yards heading into Sunday's game vs. the Dallas Cowboys in Big D.

Chubb ranks sixth on the list with 6,511 yards, and is 28 years old.

Henry's vote of confidence came amid a swirl of retirement rumors that were addressed by Yahoo Sports NFL reporter Vritti Johar.

"There is no concrete evidence suggesting that Nick Chubb is retiring from the NFL or leaving the Cleveland Browns," Johar wrote .

"Rumors of his retirement stem largely from his significant injury history, including multiple knee ligament tears that required surgeries.

"These injuries, combined with his age (28), have raised concerns about his long-term fitness and ability to maintain his elite level of play."
