Sherrone Moore is a former University of Oklahoma offensive lineman who became a coach after his playing days and wound up with Jim Harbaugh's Wolverines as a tight ends coach, offensive line coach, offensive coordinator and now head coach.

Heading into this week's showdown vs. new Big Ten power USC football, much of the media narrative centered around Michigan's disappointing passing game.

Former starter Davis Warren was benched after throwing three interceptions vs. Arkansas State last week, setting the stage for one of the best rushing performances of the 2024-2025 college football season.

Michigan defeated the Trojans 27-24 on a last minute touchdown drive that came almost exclusively via the ground game.

The Wolverines outrushed USC football 290 to 96 on the afternoon, but passed for just 32 yards in new starting QB Alex Orji's starting debut.

Moore was asked following the game for his thoughts on beating the former Pac-12 powerhouse with less than 40 yards through the air.

"I love it. It's my dream," Moore said according to Wolverines beat writer Alejandro Zuniga. Zuniga's post on Moore's comment was viewed nearly 160,000 times as of Saturday night.

The 18th-ranked Wolverines are almost certain to rise in both polls after their win vs. the 11th-ranked and previously undefeated Trojans, who beat SEC power LSU in the first week of the season.

Next up for Michigan is what could be a trap game against Coach PJ Fleck and the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

The matchup constitutes a historic Big Ten rivalry matchup with the Little Brown Jug trophy on the line and will serve as the prelude to a 2023-2024 national championship Wolverines rematch on the road vs. the Washington Huskies.

need a balanced offense. playing against 11 in the box and having to still run or throw 2 yards down the field will lead to more losses than victories. should have both QBs play

First we haven't got a jj anymore. 2nd Warren could at least push the ball downfield somewhat, his so called 3 interceptions Inc a hit elbow on release, a doink off a receivers face mask, and an overthrow. wanna blame him for the Loveland fumble after a catch? then blame orgi for Edward's fumble yesterday,,of course not. I'm no fan of either quite honestly, but Orgi didn't complete anything downfield and then the coaches quit trying, we'll take what we get this year. I look at the D and think as good as they played, still alot of really bad broken coverages that led to easy touchdown, and other easy completions.
