    Pasco man dies in wrong-way crash in Walla Walla County

    WALLA WALLA CO., Wash. - A Pasco man was identified as the person who died in a car crash in Walla Walla County early Saturday morning.

    The crash happened just after 3 a.m. on SR 12, about 11 miles outside of Pasco.

    According to information from the Washington State Patrol, a car being driven by a 40-year-old woman from Athena was going eastbound in the westbound lanes of SR 12 when she hit another vehicle head-on.

    That vehicle was being driven by Salvador Beltran, 28, of Pasco. Troopers said Beltran died at the scene of the crash. The other driver was hurt and was taken to the hospital. Her current condition is not yet known. At this time, authorities said the crash is under investigation.

    They have not yet released information on if drugs or alcohol was involved in the wrong-way crash.
