Four Dead in Alabama Mass Shooting, Several More People Injured

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The search is on for the suspects believed to be responsible for killing four people in an Alabama mass shooting Saturday night.

Birmingham Police Officer Truman Fitzgerald told reporters Saturday night that police are ready to “hunt down” the suspects. Officers were called out to Birmingham’s Five Points South area just after 11 o’clock Saturday night where they found three people with gunshot wounds. Each person died a short time later.

A fourth victim died later at the hospital.

Police say at least four of the several other people wounded have life-threatening injuries, and all of the victims were either on the sidewalk or on the street.

It’s unclear if the shooters were in a vehicle or on foot.
