Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., a dedicated foster-based dog rescue in Massachusetts, recently shared the story of two sisters who had a rough start to life and are now searching for their forever homes. "Chloe and her sister Lucy Lou were found abandoned on the streets of Cleveland, Texas when they were 4 months old. Their foster mom couldn’t find a rescue willing to intake them until finally, a Sandy Paws volunteer saw her plea on social media," explains Sandy Paws Rescue, who was able to take them in and match them with foster homes. The sisters are now one year and ten months old and looking for forever homes in Massachusetts.

Chloe, who is potty and create-trained, is described as being a bit shy initially but "quickly show her goofy and relaxed personality after one or two days." Chloe spends most of her day on her bed, watching TV, and does well with other dogs. "She loves chew toys and likes to run around in the backyard. Chloe travels well in the car and would do well in a home with another dog that can be her running buddy," explains Sandy Paws Rescue.

Lucy Lou, like her sister, is described as being "a bit bashful when she meets new people but opens up after a few days." They also note that Lucy Lou is a very submissive pup who looks up to other dogs. She enjoys playing with her toys and will even toss them across the room and then run after them, playing fetch by herself. "When she is feeling comfortable, and doesn't think anyone is looking at her, her playful and rambunctious side really comes out!"

Both Chloe and Lucy Lou are up to date on vaccinations and are spayed. Now all they need is someone to take a chance on them and give them the forever homes they deserve.

Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. requires that anyone interested in adopting must submit an application to them. As a foster-based rescue based in Massachusetts, they don’t have a shelter location, and visits with dogs are by appointment only. Their dogs reside in private homes or kennels until adoption.
