Dunkin' Donuts in Jacksonville, Florida, pulled up 20 violations, including four high-priority infractions, during a Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation inspection on September 19, 2024. The popular coffee and donut chain's location at 3929 Hendricks Ave in Duval County was not ordered to close but requires a follow-up inspection to address these concerns.

According to state records, the inspection revealed four high-priority, four intermediate, and 12 basic violations.

Among the high-priority infractions were live, small flying insects in the kitchen and food preparation areas, a recurring issue that resulted in an administrative complaint. Additionally, time/temperature control for safety food was hot held at less than the required degrees.

The inspector's note revealed the presence of live insects in the kitchen area, unsuitable food temperature management, and a lack of handwashing protocol before engaging in food preparation.

Intermediate violations involved the absence of proof of food manager certification, inadequate staff training on food safety illness reporting, and expired training credentials.

Basic violations ranged from soiled ceiling tiles to leaking taps, signaling a range of cleanliness and operational issues.

This Dunkin' Donuts location, which boasts a 3.8-star rating from 463 Google reviews, remains open as the issues were not deemed an immediate threat to public health but will need to address these violations before a follow-up inspection.

    High Priority Violations:

    • Live, small flying insects in kitchen area
    • Time/temperature management for safety food hot held at less than 135 degrees Fahrenheit
    • Employee touched soiled surface then engaged in food preparation without washing hands
    • A clean machine breaker missing at the mop sink tap
