ESPN’s Mike Greenberg Doesn't Hold Back on Dallas Cowboys During Ravens Game

The Dallas Cowboys entered the 2024 season with extremely high expectations. They signed some of their best players — Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb — to new contracts and were projected to be among the best teams in the NFC.

So far, that's certainly not what we've seen through three weeks of the season.

After an impressive start to the year with a 33-17 win over the Cleveland Browns, the Cowboys got blown out by the New Orleans Saints in Week 2, losing 44-19. Now in Week 3, they're losing 21-6 to the 0-2 Baltimore Ravens at the half, with no offensive touchdowns.

While much of the NFL world expected Dallas to be good this year, ESPN's Mike Greenberg claimed on Sunday that he saw this coming for "America's Team."

"Been saying it all summer: the #Cowboys didn’t get better, they got worse, plus more expensive. They’re in real trouble," Greenberg wrote on social media.

So far this season, Prescott is completing just 64.8% of his passes for 472 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 INTs. He is tied to the team for the next five years after his record $240 million contract with $129 million guaranteed.

Similarly, Lamb had 9 catches for 151 yards and 1 TD coming into Week 3. While that production isn't terrible, it may not live up to his four-year, $136 million deal signed this fall.

The season is still young, and things can turn around in a hurry, but the early returns from the Cowboys' first few weeks have not been impressive.

having a rookie-filled, horrible offensive line and zero running backs means that they are in big trouble offensively because every defense knows how to stop them (double Lamb, then let the pass rush overwhelm the weak OL to pressure Dak). with their pathetic defense that couldn't stop a middle school running back, they are absolutely 100% done for the year. I predict 3-14, but only if they can get a couple of lucky wins the rest of the way. with the money they've committed to WR and QB, they need to get rid of Micah for as much as they can get, then begin to rebuild with a young and hungry new head coach.
