Sweet & "VERY Smart" Border Collie Is Looking For Love

(MA) Get ready to meet an adorable fluffball who is just itching to leave his fur all over your house, and especially your bed! Tucker is a 2-year-old Border Collie who was found living as a stray. When once he spent each day trying to find enough food to get by and maybe a warm place to sleep at night, now he spends his time happily at a foster farm. Despite the incredible upgrade in living conditions, Tucker is still aiming for his ideal spot, which as I mentioned earlier, is YOUR bed!

"Tucker is an incredibly sweet boy who was found as a stray. He's currently living with his foster family on a farm and he's incredibly happy and healthy!" - Great Dog Rescue New England / Petfinder

    More Information On Tucker

Tucker is a 2-year-old Border Collie mix pup who weighs, as of 9/22/24, approximately 65 pounds. He has a long coat length which is black, white, and cream in color. Tucker is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

According to Great Dog Rescue New England, Tucker's main characteristics are smart, sweet, and playful. He is noted as being "VERY" smart, but that is not surprising for a Border Collie. In addition to being house-trained and walking well on a leash, Tucker knows basic commands such as 'sit' and 'shake'. While Tucker does do well with other dogs, GDRNE thinks he would do best with either female dogs or submissive males. He is also good with children.

"He'd do best with an active family who understand Border Collie breeds to make him the most successful pup that he can be!" - Great Dog Rescue New England / Petfinder

    How Can You Help Tucker?

If you are interested in adopting Tucker please fill out the adoption application form, which can be found here. He is available for adoption to anyone 24 or older and living in New England, NY, NJ, or PA.

Another huge thing you can do to help is consider fostering! There are never enough fosters to meet the demands of all the pups in need. More information on fostering with Great Dog Rescue New England can be found in the fostering section of their official website.

If you cannot adopt or foster, an easy way to help is to share this article or Tucker's Petfinder profile: www.petfinder.com/dog/tucker

I had a border collie mix that some threw away as aprox 4 month old puppy. We brought her home. I took her directly to the vet he said she was healthy mostly just a tiny bit of mange and a small heart murmur. They sent me to the vet school for an ultrasound. They told me she needed a $2500 operation. We were going to do it and the night before the head vet called said don’t do it she’ll no come off the table alive. So we ask how long she had. He said maybe 6 months. Well with a lot of love and heart meds we lost her 13 years later. She loved to play in the water hole. We had two Bischons that were still puppies and every night about 1am we had a puppy party. Running jumping on the furniture chasing each other she was the greatest dog. Loved her dearly
