The Baltimore Ravens are no longer winless. Due to some early defensive success and dominance from Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, the Ravens got their first victory of the 2024 season against the Dallas Cowboys.

Baltimore's offense looked much more consistent than the first two weeks, and they played impressive defense for three quarters.

Dallas mounted a comeback, but they came up short when Lamar Jackson made a game-winning scamper for a first down late in the final quarter of football.

Derrick Henry shows off legendary stiff arm

Check out another look at the nasty stiff arm below.

The Ravens veteran RB has had a strong start to the season. In Week 3, his success translated to more team success. Henry totaled 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He was almost unstoppable.

After the victory, Lamar Jackson discussed Henry's impressive outing and overall skillset for the team's offense.

Lamar Jackson shows respect for Derrick Henry

“Oh, man, I expect that from him - just gotta give him lanes, just hold up, and just let him do his thing. He busts his behind each and every practice. That’s a guy who don’t like to make mistakes, and that shows out there when he we makes those runs. He feel like he could have got more yards and he probably could have scored. And I’d be right with him."

"He showed off you know he did what Kings do.” -- Lamar Jackson on Derrick Henry

There's no doubt that Jackson knows how much Henry changes the game for opposing defenses.

His stature and power is unlike almost any other running back in league history. Now, alongside the athleticism of Jackson, the duo is a combination of size and speed that no one else in the NFL can compare to on offense.

Accordingly, they seem like a tough opponent for every defense in football. For Ravners fans, they hope that Sunday was a look to the future when it come to the win column.

The win was monumental for Baltimore.

Lamar Jackson gets real about Ravens' latest win

Dropping to 0-3 is nearly a death sentence for playoff outlooks in today's NFL. Lamar Jackson was honest about how much the win was needed for the Ravens and their fans after the victory, too.

“We needed it bad. I believe some people was on suicide watch.”

His bluntness is commendable. You don't hear that sort of honesty from many quarterbacks around the league.

The Ravens could not afford to drop to 0-3 if they wanted a chance at the AFC North, either. The Pittsburgh Steelers have gotten off to a hot start, and the Cincinnati Bengals still have plenty of talent and time to turn their season around.

The Ravens will face the Buffalo Bill in Week 4. If they can get a victory, that would do wonders for potential playoff seeding down the road for Baltimore.

Now if they can do this every week and try and bring at least half of it to the fourth quarter. Few more pieces have to step up on defense and we will be good.
