A Vikings Fan Wasn’t Content With A 3-0 Record & Decided To Punch A Texans Supporter In The Face

The 3-0 Minnesota Vikings might be the story of the year in the NFL so far. Sam Darnold is playing like a legitimate MVP contender, Tua Tagovailoa confidence assassin Brian Flores has the defense flying all over the place, and they absolutely beat the brakes off the Houston Texans 34-7 on Sunday. That just simply wasn't enough for one of the spectators at US Bank Stadium, however. You can see on the big screen in the background that this altercation occurred just as the fourth-quarter clock hit triple zeros. Victory was certain long before then. My man representing SKOL Nation could've just taken the "W" and high-stepped his way home. Maybe sling some spoken zingers at sad boii/gal Texans fans on the way out. But no. Instead, this happened: https://twitter.com/SkolBros/status/1837995665735262508 Now I don't know who instigated this gridiron-adjacent, spin-off battle of wills, but sometimes you just gotta quit while you're ahead. Let cooler heads prevail. It looks like the disputing gents both whiffed on their first jab attempts, and thank goodness we had the footage of it. Otherwise, you'd think the Vikings guy straight-up sucker punched that poor opponent of his. Unfortunately for the home team supportee, he did plan his escape route in advance. Texans Man came
hard back after him and tackled him over a row of seats. The rest of the chaos that spooled out from there is hard to break down on account of shaky cam and an obscured sea of bodies who got in on the action. I therefore cannot declare a winner of the scuffle with any conviction. Let's call it a draw, fellas. Since I'm not a big fan of when fans ever so slightly overshadow a great football day for their team, I don't want to lose sight of what the Vikings have accomplished through three weeks. B Flo is alive as a head coaching candidate again despite his horrible history with Tua. There I said it. And Kevin O'Connell might flat-out be an elite head coach already. Talk about a player whose confidence has been mutilated at the beginning of his career. Darnold fits that description better than damn near any young QB in recent memory. O'Connell has put his arm around Darnold, and in the wake of a season-ending injury to
10th overall pick JJ McCarthy , has Sammy D captaining one of the most dynamic offenses in all of football. https://twitter.com/Vikings/status/1837972641505804488 https://twitter.com/NFLonCBS/status/1837959678254354445 https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/1837947707668754438 All class by McCarthy today, by the way: https://twitter.com/jjmccarthy09/status/1837929396935508170 What a great story all around for the Vikings. I'll give this one last country try, though: For the millionth time, America (and rest of world): Please don't fight at sporting events.

That's how most Minnesotans are nowadays, unfortunately. MN Nice was long, long gone, a decade or two ago. Now it is MN Passive Aggressive.
