Schneider shoots 2-under to lead field at FWGA City Senior Championship

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Battling steady rain throughout the day, Derek Schneider leads the field at 2-under par through the first round of the City Senior Championship at Chestnut Hills.

Schneider was the only golfer to finish with a score under par during Sunday’s first round. Kip Barker and Chris Schweitzer are tied for second after shooting an even score of 72. Former City Senior champion Tom Wood will play with the leaders after finishing with the fourth best score of 73 (+1).

Meanwhile, defending champion Bill Argus is tied for 15th after shooting 8-over par on Sunday.

The second and final round of the City Senior Championship is set for Monday, with the leaders teeing off just before noon.
