Crews rescued a hiker who was stuck about 75 feet down from the ridge in Griffith Park just before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said the hiker was uninjured, but stuck in a precarious spot near 2800 E Observatory Rd.

Park rangers used a rope rescue system where they lowered a team member to secure the hiker and bring them back up.

LAFD said firefighters got to the scene when the park rangers safely brought the hiker topside, and evaluated them to ensure no injuries.
