My favorite Habachi Restaurant is in this Northern Suburb

I recently dined with friends at a local favorite, Japanese Steak House/Habachi-style restaurant that has been in business since 1989.

The place is Rokbonki Japanese Steakhouse in Arlington Heights.

I highly recommend you make reservations if you decide to dine here. The day we went, it was extremely busy and luckily we had reservations.

The restaurant looks somewhat dated on one side; there are hibachi grills on the other side and there are regular tables.

We were sat within minutes of our arrival. We decided to do a hibachi-style dinner.

The dinner was like every other hibachi-style restaurant. You pick your protein and then there are also add-ons. I will say to definitely go with their garlic, shrimp add-on. It is absolutely delicious.

Our chef, who was doing our hibachi, did not do a lot of showmanship, but our food was piled high. The teriyaki chicken was delicious and perfectly cooked. My friends ordered the fillet and said that it was delicious.

I could tell everything here was extremely fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.What I hear from other patrons who come here often, and tell me that the food here is always consistent.

I would say if you enjoy hibachi-style food definitely check this place out. The ambiance is an old-school Asian restaurant. Expect to spend around $50 a person.
