PK Kemsley Misses Drinking but Says ‘Benefits’ of Sobriety Outweigh That

During Season 13 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , the cameras touched on PK Kemsley’s strained marriage with Dorit Kemsley . “PK was drinking a lot, and he is a drinker,” Dorit explained on air. She also noted that his alcohol consumption made it “difficult to have clear-headed conversations,” so PK “gave up drinking.” Even though their marriage has continued to spiral, PK has thankfully maintained his Season 13 sobriety. While he misses certain aspects of drinking, PK has never felt better, noting that the “benefits” of sobriety outweigh everything.

While PK and Dorit are still sorting out their next steps, leaving us wondering if they will divorce or work things out , one area of PK’s life remains solid: his sobriety. Taking to his Instagram account, PK announced his latest milestone. He has just celebrated nine months of sober living. And now, he wants to offer his hand to others, as PK knows that the “stigma associated with addiction” sucks.

PK is all about making his journey public. He wants everyone to know that help is possible and that no one should ever feel afraid to break up with their bottles. As penned, PK expressed that “fear is a mile wide and an inch deep … so it looks like this ocean [that] you’re gonna step into and drown, but as soon as you step into it , you find out it’s not that deep at all, and you can keep walking through it.”

While PK does “miss drinking,” at only “9 months in, the benefits [of sobriety] are so freaking huge.” For one, “You get to witness your life as it’s supposed to be experienced, raw, real, and beautiful. ” You also “get to sit in the pain, and it passes, you get to look and feel better … it’s so strong and empowering, I can’t begin to tell you,” PK added.

He then ended on a note of thanks, as PK has received “overwhelming support” from the fans of RHOBH.
