Apparent gang related shooting leaves one dead and two injured

One person was killed and two others were wounded in what is believed to be a gang related shooting over the weekend. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting on Thorn Ridge Drive in Boiling Springs around 10:45, Sunday morning.

Deputies found one victim dead on arrival, two others were injured and were transported to the hospital. The suspect, 22 year old AB Martinez of Boiling Springs was arrested and taken into custody without incident.

He's charged with murder, 3 counts of attempted murder and two weapons violations. The Sheriff's Office says the shooting looks to be gang related. However, they did not elaborate on what gang Martinez is possibly affiliated with.

The Coroner's Office has identified the deceased as 24 year old, Marco Antonio Velazquez.
