Sidwalk repairs along Washington Street, Cherry Street, and Fourth Avenue is being pushed back to next month in light of supply chain issues, the City of Olympia reports.

The work was part of a larger project intended to repair sidewalks at 19 locations along the streets above as well as Harrison Avenue, State Avenue, Capitol Way, according to city officials.

Construction is expected to resume on Wednesday, Oct. 2, city officials report further.

The repairs will see city contractor Northwest Cascade replace panels, prune tree roots, and update curb ramps, according to the city.

The tree work, Olympia officials say, is under reviewed by an arborist and will produce a net increase in the number of trees in the city.

Repairs at 17 of the 19 locations are complete as of Friday, Sep. 20, the city reports. All removed trees will be replaced with sidewalk friendly species, weather permitting, according to Olympia officials.

they burnt it all up in Vancouver on redundant projects. I believe most of the work done to the sidewalks were done with Obama bucks. Didn't use any bit of it in my neighborhood though.
