The problem is counting votes. It is ridiculous. Just like there is one monetary system in the USA, there should be one voting system that works the same in every state and is designed to make it impossible for someone to vote in multiple jurisdictions. It is ridiculous. We can put a man on the moon, communicate with anyone else in the world instantly, edit someone's genetic code, restore sight to the blind, and hearing to the deaf, but counting votes is just too hard.
