    Coroner identifies man who drowned in lake Ming in late July

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a 48-year-old man who drowned in Lake Ming in late July .

    Coroner officials say Carlos Hugo Friassoto, 48, of Bakersfield was found in the lake on July 29 and transported to Kern Medical where he was pronounced dead.

    An autopsy confirmed Friassoto’s cause of death was determined to be drowning and the manner was an accident.

    17 News previously reported video showed several people going into the water to help get someone out of the water. The person appeared to be unconscious. The person in the water was eventually taken to shore where Samaritans rendered aid.
