MILFORD Authorities said Monday that a woman who was stabbed last week in what they have described as a domestic incident inside a South Bow Street home has died.

The Worcester District Attorney's Office has identified the woman as Maria Tereza Mayancela Loja, 32, of Milford. Her husband, Luis Osvaldo Guaman Loja, 34, also of Milford, had previously died from injuries suffered in the same incident.

The District Attorney's Office has not provided details on what it believes happened, but officials said last week that Mayancela Loja was a victim of domestic violence.

Earlier: Authorities say Milford woman remains in critical condition after stabbing incident

Milford police responded to 80 South Bow St. after getting a 911 call at 9:01 a.m. on Sept. 16 from a woman screaming for help. Inside the building a multifamily home police found Mayancela Loja in an upstairs apartment suffering from serious stab wounds . She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and underwent several surgeries.

She died sometime over the weekend, authorities said.

Her husband, Guaman Loja, was found in the basement suffering from wounds to the chest. He was declared dead at the scene.

Mayancela Loja was a mother of four children. Authorities said they are in the custody of family members.

    The incident remains under investigation.
