    Man from Tupelo Charged with Burglary of Vehicle

    On Friday, September 20, 2024, Tupelo Police officers were dispatched to the area of Columbine Drive following a report of an individual breaking into multiple vehicles. The suspect was nearby, and officers soon tracked him down.

    The officers ran the suspect's information, discovering that he had an outstanding warrant with another jurisdiction.

    Various items that had been stolen were found in the suspect's possession at the time of his arrest.

    Javalon T. Gandy, 20, of Tupelo, was arrested and charged with burglary of a vehicle.

    According to a press release from Tupelo Police Department, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Sumner ordered Gandy to be held on a bond of $15,000.
