    Police ID victim, suspect in deadly Providence stabbing

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Providence police are asking for the public’s help finding a homicide suspect following a stabbing last week.

    Around 3:48 p.m. on Friday, Officers found 34-year-old Brian Clements on Chalkstone Avenue with a stab wound to his chest. Clements was initially taken to the hospital in critical condition but died on Monday, marking the city’s ninth homicide of the year.

    Police are asking anyone with information regarding 28-year-old Shabree Lovett’s whereabouts to immediately contact Detective Joseph Nezier at (401) 339-4650 or jnezier@providenceri.gov or Detective Sgt. Jonathan Primiano at (401) 559-2899 or jprimiano@providenceri.gov .
