    Man accused of using ‘funny money’ to buy gift cards

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police are looking for a man who used counterfeit bills to purchase $1,500 worth of gift cards from a Dollar General in northeast Memphis.

    Investigators said the suspect, who was caught on camera at the Dollar General in the 5900 block of Summer Avenue, used thirty fake $50 bills to purchase three $500 Visa debit cards from the business.

    The suspect was wearing multicolored sneakers. He was seen leaving in a black Sedan with an unknown tag.
