Chiefs Receivers Had Surprising Snap Counts in Win vs. Falcons

The Kansas City Chiefs were able to sneak out another close win to stay undefeated on Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons.

While the Chiefs are often known for their offense, it was their defense that secured them the victory, as they allowed just three points in the second half.

On offense, receiver Rashee Rice solidified himself as Patrick Mahomes' top target after he finished with 12 receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown. The offensive snap counts reflect that as well, as Rice led all wide receivers, playing 74 percent of the offensive snaps.

However, the next player behind Rice may surprise some, as veteran JuJu Smith-Schuster had the second-highest snap percentage at receiver with 55 percent. Meanwhile, rookie Xavier Worthy finished the game playing exactly 50 percent of the offense's snaps.

After a strong Week 1 performance for Worthy, where he finished with two touchdowns on three touches, he has yet to reach the end zone since. Meanwhile, Smith-Schuster was able to find the end zone for the first time in 2024 on Sunday night. Both players finished the night with 17 receiving yards.

While it's interesting to see Worthy finish with fewer yards than Smith-Schuster after his strong start in Week 1, it likely shouldn't be a cause for concern for Chiefs fans, as Worthy is a rookie and may need time to find his role in Kansas City's offense.

I don't see the Chargers beating the Chiefs. Chargers have pass rushers though and a running game. I'll give them a punchers chance.
