Cats must instinctively know how to find trouble. They live for it, especially when it involves taking something they know they shouldn't. For a daredevil Tabby cat named Turn Signal, it's crafting the perfect plan to rob her parents of the kitchen sponge, and this time, she hopes to get away with it once and for all.

The September 20 TikTok video posted by @turn.signal4 proves cats are sneaky little sneaks who'll do anything for the thing they want. In Turn Signal's case, it's a kitchen sponge, and there's no way anyone's going to stop her! Take a look at this kitty's serious criminal activity!

"Sponge bandit back at it," the video says, as the clever kitty finds and steals the kitchen sponge. As she carries it off in her mouth, Turn Signal evades authorities, leading them on a foot-chase through the flat plains of the home. She's a wanted fugitive determined to hide that sponge in her secret spot. Just as she nearly loses them, she's caught and likely arrested for her sponge crimes.

With nearly 1 million likes and thousands of comments, Turn Signal's heist of the century is giving the internet much-needed cat content.

"Bro has plans beyond our understanding," one person wrote.

"Not turn signal contemplating the best route," another said.

"He can’t keep getting away with it," another joked.

This is one feline destined for a life of crime—the crime of being adorable!

    Why Cats Steal Random Things

Turn Signal is a seasoned shop lifter with her sponge habit and hidden toy cave, and most cats exhibit these behaviors at some point. Catster explains there are a few reasons cats steal things and take them to hide, and it's part of their DNA. As natural hunters, taking household items is thanks to their predatory instinct. Even if they're just playing, it's another way to hone their hunting skills.

They might steal as a way to stay mentally stimulated, because it's fun. Some cats want attention or do it to keep from being bored, while others are spreading their scent because they're territorial by nature and feel more comfortable in a home where they've spread it everywhere.

Most of the time, kitties collect toys and random objects because they have a natural tendency to hoard, which again points back to their hunting and gathering instincts. Females are also more likely to collect and hide items as a way of nesting.

Whatever the reason Turn Signal is determined to take that sponge, we hope the law goes easy on her!
